Rush Limbaugh arrested on drug charges

Rush Limbaugh was arrested today on prescription drug charges. He turned himself in to authorities on a warrant issued by the Florida state attorney's office. The warrant was for fraud to conceal information to obtain a prescription.

Limbaugh was booked and released on $3,000 bail.

DARE to keep conservative talk-show hosts off drugs!

Nice little spin but of course you got it wrong. The "charges" (of which there never were any) will be "dropped" when he concludes his treatment. They never had any evidence of doctor shopping or anything else. This is a nice little back door escape for a the prosecutor.

Dear Sodium,

So lemme get this straight: there never were any charges, and Limbaugh is innocent of the nonexistent charges, but he was arrested and booked and has to go through "treatment" (including random urine tests) anyway?

Gotcha.

Sodium... give it up!

This is like when conservatives insist that Tom Delay is not in any trouble. Indictments only matter when it's not on the Republicans. Quite convenient, considering Republican indictments are the in-thing right now.

If my party was this much in trouble, I'd probably live in a fantasyland too.
