John McCain's special talent

McCain has the amazing ability to speak out of both sides of his mouth!

In response to Hugo Chavez's calling Bush "the devil," McCain said, "Look, it’s despicable and the United Nations should not be used as that kind of forum."

But when Jerry Falwell called Hillary Clinton "Lucifer," McCain said, "I think he was joking. I’m - from what I was told, he was laughing."

So it's okay to call someone "Lucifer" or "the devil" if you're laughing?

Or is it okay because Hillary Clinton is a Democrat?

Or is it because she's a woman?

All of the above?

It's not about humour, it's is about the right to free speech Democrat, woman or South American maverick.

Yeah, McCain sucks!

I don't care that he tries unsuccessfully to ban torture. He is a Republican hack!

If we still had legitimate elections, I'd say that he'd have a good chance in 08 if he runs. But either way, a republican will win 08 if we keep these computer voting machines.

David: Yes! And of course, the right to free speech (even if inconsistent and hypocritical) applies to that two-faced asshole John McCain, as well.

Crall: As it turns out, McCain didn't try very hard to ban anything much. Bush and Co. ultimately got their way, pretty much, and McCain alienated only those who were beginnning to believe he actually had some integrity.

Legitimate elections? What do you think we are, a democracy? :^(
