Capstone
Capstone: Noun. A stone fixed on top of something, typically a wall. A large, flat stone forming a roof over the chamber of a megalithic tomb. A concluding achievement.
In this case, we're using the word "capstone" to signify a concluding act (as opposed to an achievement). Specifically, we're putting a capstone on the political musings of this blog. We've been bashing the Bush administration and its adherents since 2004, and now that some semblance of balance has finally been restored to the House and Senate, we're feeling less urgent about "spreading the hate." In fact, we're feeling somewhat resolved to stop spreading negativity in general, and toward that end we are hereby bidding adieu to political rants of any kind on this blog.
This is not to say, necessarily, that we're leaving the blog. We'll keep it here as a placeholder for the time being, in case we can think of a fun and practical use for it. But until then, we're focusing our energy on our real jobs, our families, and doing things that make us and others feel better, not worse. Like writing and producing music. (To hear samples of what we've done so far, please visit us at www.myspace.com/zahtarah.)
Thank you, everyone, for visiting, for reading and commenting, for caring, for sharing. You've made us think, you've made us learn, and you've made us laugh. We love you.

good,
now you can turn your attention to a more worthy matter.

I certainly don't have as much confidence in the new political reality as you do. That said, for each of us, "There is a season. Turn, Turn, Turn".
It IS important to balance scathing critique with bountiful joy. So, I hope you find joy in your future endeavors.
Awww, the leftards can't hack it, so they're packing up and going home!
Good riddance, dipshits.
Awww, the repugnican was feeling the need to reclaim his right to bash something. We're here for ya, the good pacifists we are.
Do you kiss your mama with that mouth? What about your wife or your children? Of course, your having a family that cares for you is a pretty big assumption on my part.
It must hurt you to know that we were right all this time. That's funny, the left was right, and the right was left, as in left behind, sucker, ka-chow!
