Bush issues fake threat in response to fake attack

President Bush is wearin' his cowboy hat again.

But c'mon...even if the video and audio of the Iran boat incident are authentic (see video below), did those tiny little Iranian speed boats ever present a real threat to our freaking gigantic battleships? Even if they were able to ram one of the ships and dent its hull, wouldn't that be more an act of adolescent vandalism than an act of real aggression?

And what were our ships doing in their waters in the first place?

Who provoked whom?

I see Iranian speed boats advancing upon US ships, not the other way around.

Muslims are good at killing innocent people, so this is just normal behavior from barbarian Iranian Muslims and their lying leader.

You really are mentally challenged aren't you. Look up what a tiny boat did to a bigger ship named "USS Cole", and how many sailors were murdered by suicide Muslims.

justadog: Thanks for the droppings - er, dropping by. Yes, a small boat LOADED WITH EXPLOSIVES put a hole in the USS Cole in a PREMEDITATED attack while the Cole was DOCKED in Sudan. Maybe the Iranian skiffs were loaded with explosives, too - who knows? But they weren't in our waters, were they? And they certainly couldn't have been carrying enough explosives to bomb a country's entire coastline (as our ships were), could they? So there was a slight imbalance of power, wasn't there?

As to your comment about Muslims being "good at killing innocent people," uh, does the name Timothy McVeigh mean anything to you? How about George W. Bush?

Hussain Hashem Al-Hussaini publicly identified himself as one of the people tied to the OKC bombing. Timothy McVeigh met with a number of high profile Muslims overseas prior to the bombing. This is all known facts. An investigation was actually started to follow up on these (and many more) facts but was abruptly halted from above. The Muslim meetings, where they took place, and with whom are part of intelligence reports and much of which is accessible to the public.

What about George Bush? If you refer to the Iraq war you are wrong. Only Congress can declare war and both Republicans and Democrats did, and the Democrat congress continues to fund it to this day.

Since Iraq created an Islamic Law constitution I'm against our presence there. Our troops should not put their lives on the line for a society of savage fanaticals in a Islamic civil war. They should be left to just kill each other.

JustaDog: Yeah, yeah, Hussain Hashem Al-Hussaini...amazing that the FBI never followed up on Jayna Davis's little conspiracy theory, ain't it? It's kind of obvious what her agenda was, considering that she was trying so hard to connect OKC to Iraq following 9-11. You might not be a cheerleader anymore for the Iraq war, but Davis certainly is:

"The Oklahoma City bombing, if orchestrated by an Iraqi hit squad operating under state sponsorship by Iran and Syria, would undoubtedly constitute an act of war against the United States. Given what I have discovered about the Iraqi/Al Qaeda links to the April 19, 1995 bombing, I applaud and salute the United States military for its tremendous courage and sacrifice in ousting Saddam Hussein.

"How many more Americans would have been marked for death had the U.S. military not invaded Iraq and overthrown such a bloodthirsty broker of terror? I believe that our fallen soldiers have not died in vain to end the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction that have not yet been found, but to save Americans from another widespread slaughter of innocents like April 19."

Oh, and war has never been officially declared against Afghanistan or Iraq. Bush attacked both unilaterally and illegally.

It doesn't take much to kill someone. It doesn't matter if you're on the biggest ship or the smallest ship. If I were on the boat and saw something coming towards me from a country that's not exactly friendly towards me I would be very concerned. How would have you reacted?

anonymous: Well, of course the sailors on the US ships were scared. They knew, on some level, that they were the aggressors in the situation and deserved, therefore, to be challenged. But is that any reason for our president to threaten Iran?
